𝗗𝗮𝗶𝘀𝘆 𝗪𝗮𝗻 was often told that being good at sports would lead her nowhere. Fast forward, Daisy was selected as a member of the Hong Kong Rhythmic Gymnastics Team and went on to represent Hong Kong internationally!
“𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗺 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻! 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁!”
Daisy, now pursuing a degree in Physical Education at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, believes in the power of sports to help girls, particularly from under-resourced communities, stand out.
